  • President Bush explaining the bee hive theory is hillarious #

A newish interview from earlier this year has surfaced. Legendary singer Phil Anselmo (Down, Ex-Pantera) appears to be in pretty rough shape. It reminds me quite a bit of Ozzy.

  • Kathy Griffin is really dating Steve Wozniak of Apple Computer fame? #
  • I like how older people always say “you know how to get here?”. As if mapquest and GPS doesn’t exist. #
  • Whoa, Tim Russert dead at 58?!? #

  • new Inhale Exhale today..this is great #

On April 9th, 2008 one of my favorite bands of all time played in St. Paul. I was lucky enough to finally catch them live for the first time. The show was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember the last time I saw a show this excellent.

Check them out playing “Elysium” off their latest album:

Stone Temple Pilots came back after 5 years and sold out The Roy Wilkins Auditorium last night in St. Paul. It was as if they never left. Was definitely great to see Weiland and the guys back doing what they do best.

  • After the Obama rally last night im in full political mode..listening to Scott McClellans “What Happened” book #

As I mentioned about a few days ago, Barack Obama held his rally at the Xcel Energy Center last night. After fighting with almost 40,000 strong in a line about 2 miles long in the heart of downtown St. Paul, It was quite the scene to experience. The Star Tribune reports there were 17,000 strong inside the arena and 15,000 that were not able to get in viewing a jumbotron outside.

Making it all that more exciting, he came out to the crowd like a rock star stating “Tonight, I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States.”

Photos from the event from my flickrstream:

  • Sweet! At Drink bar in uptown Minneapolis and “Cream” just came on. One of my favorite Prince songs..oh, and this is his hometown. #
  • Seriously..what’s up with pull tabs and minneapolis? #
  • Listening to a girl who can remember what she did every date for the last 9 years. Give her any date, she will tell you the day of week … #
  • Amy, the hiring manager called. They offered the position to another candidate but emphasized she wanted me to keep in touch.. #

I found out today Obama will be making a campaign stop here in the Minneapolis area on Tuesday. The rally will be held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the same location as this years GOP national convention. The rally coincides with the last democratic primary in South Dakota. To make it even more exciting, it seems very likely Senator Obama will claim victory against Hilary Clinton and will mark the end of the democratic primaries. This is actually pretty exciting and I will definitely be attending. This will be the first political rally on this size scale that i’ve attended. Apparently back in February over 20,000 people filled the Target Center in Minneapolis for a similar Obama event.

Of course, I will also be attending the Republican National Convention on September 1st at the same location. I will not be supporting though. Feel free to check out Protest RNC 2008.

More Info: Star Tribune - Obama will appear at Xcel on Tuesday, may claim victory

  • Okay. Boom blox is absolutely ridiculously fun. #

  • Is it normal to like waking up to rain? #

The Don and Mike Show has now been off the air now for a couple months. The Mike Omeara show now has been on the air for a little over a month. I have listened to every second of the new show and my first impressions are that it is indeed a better show. Mike has always been the one that I believed carried the show. He definitely has always been the funniest one. My lone complaint on the new show is Robb Spewack. There is only so much of his background dribble and “old queen” references that one can take. I think the show would be better off without him, no question. He continues to come across as a “fan” and as someone without his own personality. He tries to act too much like Mike, and it shows. Either way, the show is great and look forward to the future.

The Mike Omeara show is syndicated through WJFK in Washington, DC.

The biggest movie of the year hits the big screen tomorrow. Rumors are running rampid that the editing is so poor in the Sex and The City Moviethat you can actually see boom mics in the top of the frame in some scenes. Could this really be true? How could you really not catch this?!? I’d love to see if this is true. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow…

And no, I will not be going to see this.

Monday we had some severe storms here in Minnesota. I can’t remember the last time i personally heard a tornado siren. I didn’t hear one this time but under 20 miles from me a tornado hit ground. I was able to grab some photos of the aftermath:
