I shot Warped Tour this year in Minneapolis(Shakopee, MN actually) for the first time this year. In the past I have shot the tour in Milwaukee. The location was strange as it was actually at a horseracing track parking lot. Brad and I actually walked over to the track and got a beer and watched a race. Weird. Was worried all week because forecast was predicting thunderstorms all day. Luckily, we escaped any rain at all. The sun finally came out around 6pm. Overall, it was a good time.
A newish interview from earlier this year has surfaced. Legendary singer Phil Anselmo (Down, Ex-Pantera) appears to be in pretty rough shape. It reminds me quite a bit of Ozzy.
On April 9th, 2008 one of my favorite bands of all time played in St. Paul. I was lucky enough to finally catch them live for the first time. The show was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember the last time I saw a show this excellent.

Stone Temple Pilots came back after 5 years and sold out The Roy Wilkins Auditorium last night in St. Paul. It was as if they never left. Was definitely great to see Weiland and the guys back doing what they do best.
1985..saw Ratt and Motley Crue both have double platinum albums..Out of the Cellar and Shout at the Devil. 1995..the metal scene was on it’s way to being refreshed once again with bands such as Korn, the Deftones and Coal Chamber leading the way… 2005 was the year it was once again refreshed. With the guitar solos back and all. 2005 will be forever be remembered as the year metal came back.
